Possible Barcelona XI vs Bayern Munich

Barcelona travel to Germany to face Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in the second round of the Champions League group stage with kick-off scheduled at 9pm local time.

The game will see Robert Lewandowski return to Munich to play against the club for whom he scored 344 goals in all competitions.

It is believed that Xavi will rotate his starting XI from the one that defeated Cádiz 4-0 over the weekend. Ousmane Dembélé is expected to return to the starting line-up along with Pedri in order to help the side be more dangerous going forward. Jules Koundé, who was rested specifically for this fixture, will most likely take the place of Gerard Piqué to strengthen Barcelona’s defence and add speed to their backline.

Mundo Deportivo predict that Xavi will field the following starting XI against Bayern Munich: Marc-André Ter Stegen – Jules Koundé, Ronald Araújo, Eric Garcia, Alejandro Balde – Sergio Busquets, Pedri, Gavi – Ousmane Dembélé, Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha.
