‘Players have it easy in England’ – Thierry Henry heaps praise on Real Madrid star Bellingham

Former Barcelona star Thierry Henry made use of the opportunity to reveal his admiration for Real Madrid standout Jude Bellingham, late on Monday.

As much came during an appearance on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.

Whilst discussing the topic of English players plying their trade outside of the Premier League, the name of Bellingham, unsurprisingly, took its place front and centre.

This comes amid a historic debut season for the midfielder in Spain, with Real Madrid.

Bellingham, to date, has racked up 30 appearances in the colours of Los Blancos.

And, across these outings, the 20-year-old has racked up a frankly remarkable 28 direct goal contributions.

When discussing the subject of Bellingham’s stellar form, the aforementioned Thierry Henry, as a result, could not help but put his Barcelona past to one side.

Heaping praise on the England international, ex-Arsenal and France frontman Henry revealed his appreciation for not only Bellingham’s footballing ability, but seemingly unerring confidence, too:

“Jude Bellingham, I think… Yeah, take a bow.

“Footballers have it easy in England. The pressure that you have to endure in Spain… The expectations… You take the number 5 of Zinedine Zidane? And you celebrate like this? Oh, well done mate.”
