Decorated striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set for an imminent return to Spanish football over the days ahead. This comes amid the understanding that the 37-year-old has agreed on the terms of a contract with Deportivo La Coruña.
Aubameyang has for his part long been expected to bring his stint on the books of Olympique Marseille to a close this summer.
After playing his part in a chaotic scene at the clubâs training ground late last season, the former Arsenal man was excluded from first-team duties with immediate effect.
Despite as much, Aubameyang managed a solid haul of 15 goal contributions in 30 Ligue 1 appearances in 2025/26, giving rise to widespread interest in a cut-price deal for the Gabonese.
And as alluded to above, this week, Aubaâs latest landing spot has been confirmed.
As per a report from transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano, newly-promoted Deportivo have put all of the formalities in place to bring the veteran goalscorer to La Liga for next season:
âPierre Aubameyang to Deportivo La Coruña, here we go! Deal in place on âŹ1.5m transfer fee.â
