Peru Nolaskoain is ready to leave Athletic Bilbao on loan in the interest of more playing time, report Mundo Deportivo.
Earlier this week it was reported that Ander Herrera is set to return to San Mamés as a free agent from PSG. With the arrival of the 33-year-old, Nolaskoain is expected to play a less prominent role in Athletic Bilbao’s midfield.
Ernesto Valverde has already indicated that the player is not part of his plans for the upcoming season and he should look for a club to go on loan to. According to reports, Eibar are showing interest in securing the services of Nolaskoain.
The 23-year-old rejected a lucrative offer to switch alliances to Real Sociedad a couple of years ago. A serious ankle injury, which he suffered in 2020, kept him sidelined for several months.
Nolaskoain is hoping to accumulate more games and experience under his belt so that he can fight for his place in the Athletic Bilbao starting XI next season.
