Pedri names Erling Haaland as Barcelona’s perfect Robert Lewandowski replacement

Barcelona midfielder Pedri has revealed his hope that he will one day be afforded the chance to line out alongside Manchester City frontman Erling Haaland.

Pedri took part in a casual interview with Twitch streamer Ibai Llanos earlier today and was drawn on a whole host of interesting topics.

One such subject came in the form of the players whom he admires most, with the Spanish international having gone on to name Andrés Iniesta as his life-long idol.

Pedri also revealed his appreciation for ex-Real Madrid midfielder Guti, before confirming the identity of several members of his Fantasy Football team.

One such player comes in the form of teammate Robert Lewandowski, with the Pole’s emergence in the conversation having acted as the perfect segway for a further question, regarding a potential future replacement for ‘Lewa’ in Catalonia.

Alluding to the fact that Barca’s star striker is headed into the twilight years of his career, Pedri named Haaland as the ideal replacement.

”For Barca I would sign Haaland. He’s a cyborg. He scores a lot of goals. Lewandowski is not going to last until he is 60,” he said.

From here, Pedri also went on to hail the talents of another Manchester City star, Julián Álvarez.

”Julián Álvarez is also playing very well, ‘the spider’, he’s a very good player.”
