Barcelona star Pedri was on Monday drawn on who he feels have been the club’s standout performers across the season to date.
And his response is no doubt set to turn heads across the Blaugrana’s fanbase.
This comes with Pedri having opted for his side’s latest two breakout talents – Lamine Yamal, and Pau Cubarsí.
Both winger Lamine, and defender Cubarsí, have of course positioned themselves front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of recent months.
As much comes with the two La Masia graduates, despite being just 16 and 17 respectively, having exploded onto the first-team scene under the watch of Xavi.
Already acting as integral members of Barcelona’s first-choice XI, the pair look set to define an era at the Camp Nou, for the coming decade and beyond.
And, evidently, their staggering exploits have not gone at all unappreciated on the part of Lamine and Cubarsí’s new teammates on the senior stage.
As part of a Q&A with The Residency on Monday, the aforementioned Pedri was asked to name the ‘best player’ in the Blaugrana’s squad thus far this season.
And the 21-year-old did not hesitate in responding:
“Best Barcelona player this season? Difficult to answer, but I will stick with the younger ones. Pau Cubarsí and Lamine Yamal.”
