Barcelona to have all but 2 members of Xavi’s squad available for PSG

A fresh insight into the personnel situation in La Liga giants Barcelona’s squad has come to the fore on Monday.

And the news will no doubt be met with excitement on the part of the club’s fanbase.

This comes amid claims that the Barcelona coaching staff expect to have all but two members of their first-team ranks available for selection to face Paris Saint-Germain next week.

The Blaugrana are of course primed to kick their continental campaign back into gear in a little over a week’s time, when they make the trip to France for the first leg of the club’s Champions League quarter-final tie with Ligue 1 champions PSG.

In the weeks and months leading up to the clash, Xavi has been forced to deal with a whole host of issues on the personnel front, seeing his squad ravaged by injury problems.

As per a report from RAC1, though, next Wednesday night, all but long-term absentees Gavi and Alejandro Balde are on course to be fit to feature.

This, crucially, includes midfield pair Pedri and Frenkie de Jong, both of whom are in line to link back up with their teammates in training over the coming days.
