Outbound Osasuna boss Jagoba Arrasate in the sights of Sevilla

Soon-to-be former Osasuna head coach Jagoba Arrasate has made his way onto the radar of another of La Liga’s leading clubs.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing a number of sources in Andalusia.

Arrasate, of course, recently announced his intention to step down from his post as Osasuna boss upon the close of the campaign.

This comes ahead of the imminent expiration of his contract in Pamplona.

Highly regarded across the Spanish football landscape, though, the 45-year-old is not expected to be out of work for long, courted by a number of La Liga clubs.

And one such outfit, it would appear, comes in the form of Sevilla.

As per the aforementioned MD, the brass at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán view Arrasate as a contender to take up the reins at the club with a view to next season.

As much comes ahead of the expected departure of under-fire Nervionenses headmaster Quique.

Whilst Osasuna’s boss is currently the ‘main candidate’, he is not the only tactician in the sights of Sevilla, though, with the Andalusians also keeping a close eye on the situation of Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca.
