One Real Madrid star has played in every one of the club’s games this season

A headline member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has, remarkably, played his part in every single one of the club’s outings across all competitions this season.

Real, of course, are in the midst of another fine campaign to date.

Eight points clear atop the Spanish top-flight table, and in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, silverware certainly appears to be on the cards at the Santiago Bernabéu once more.

Grabbing the headlines en route to as much have been a whole host of members of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, from Jude Bellingham to Vinícius Jr. and Brahim Díaz.

And yet, as alluded to above, none have played quite as integral a role in Real’s endeavours in 2023/24 as Federico Valverde.

Uruguayan international Valverde has continued to act as a consistent source of excellence in Ancelotti’s engine room, shining in and out of possession alike.

With a seemingly never-ending motor, too, it should perhaps come as little surprise to hear of the coaching staff in Madrid leaning on the 25-year-old more than any other player.

After featuring from the off once more in Real’s downing of Athletic Club on Sunday night, Valverde has now taken to the pitch in all 42 of Los Merengues’ fixtures in all competitions this term.

This figure is made up of 30 in La Liga, eight in the Champions League, two in the Copa del Rey, and two in the Spanish Super Cup.

Fede Valverde… Real Madrid’s unsung hero.
