An insight into the financial demands laid out by the powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona to part with defender Mikayil Faye has on Wednesday been provided.
The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and reiterates what many of a Barcelona persuasion have so long feared – that Faye, indeed is for sale:
‘The centre-back is not going to get any minutes and the Blaugrana club have him on the market waiting for a sale offer to be made.’
A whole host of clubs from across the continent are understood to have expressed an interest in Faye this summer, with a new suitor, this week, having added their name to the list.
The outfit in question? Serie A champions Inter Milan.
The Nerazzurri are understood to hold Faye in altogether high regard, pushing Barcelona to accept a loan with an obligatory purchase clause in the summer of 2025.
It remains to be seen whether or not the Blaugrana are amenable to such terms, but Deco and co. have made clear that the Senegalese international will not be allowed to leave for less than ‘around 15 million euros’.
