The relationship between those behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona and on-loan midfielder Marc Casadó is considered strained at present. That’s according to Marca, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the situation.
Casadó is for his part of course fresh off securing a departure from Catalunya’s capital. Following months of rampant speculation surrounding his future, the 22-year-old went on to link up with Deportivo La Coruña on loan on deadline day.
This solution was far from ideal for a Barcelona outfit who were eager to secure a substantial sum for Casadó’s permanent sale throughout the summer.
In the end, however, despite it having been conveyed to the midfielder that he was no longer part of Hansi Flick’s plans very early in the window, Casadó refused all permanent offers which arrived.
As per a report from Marca, the general sentiment at the Spotify Camp Nou is therefore that agent Jorge Mendes ‘was stringing us along’ throughout the summer.
The relationship between the parties, as a result, ‘isn’t the best’ as things stand.
