A member of the loan ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has this week secured for himself a prestigious individual prize. This comes amid confirmation of Ronald Araújo being named Liverpool’s Player of the Month.
Stopper Araújo of course departed Barcelona this past summer, securing something of a surprise season-long loan move to Anfield.
And the Uruguayan, after another tough campaign last time out in Spain, has since gone on to enjoy a remarkable resurgence in the famed red of Liverpool.
In a right-back role in Andoni Iraola’s XI, Araújo has endeared himself to his new club’s supporters, courtesy of defensive excellence and sheer determination.
Not only that, but the 27-year-old has racked up three direct goal contributions in three appearances in the Champions League.
And as alluded to above, this week, Araújo’s impressive form has been aptly recognised by those of a Liverpool persuasion. As confirmed in a post across the Reds’ social media platforms, the all-action defender has been named the club’s official Player of the Month.
