Real Madrid closely tracking Aston Villa star

The board at La Liga giants Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on the development of Aston Villa star Zion Suzuki. This comes with the Japanese having been earmarked as a potential long-term replacement for Thibaut Courtois in Spain’s capital.

Shot-stopper Suzuki has seen his profile grow significantly over the course of the season to date.

Since taking his talents to the Premier League with Aston Villa from Serie A outfit Parma, the 24-year-old has proven to be nothing short of a revelation.

Not only has Suzuki’s shot-stopping been of the highest calibre, but he is already considered one of English football’s finest goalkeepers when it comes to distribution, too.

And such impressive exploits, as alluded to above, have not gone unnoticed in Spain’s capital… As per a report from Fichajes, citing English outlet TEAMtalk:

‘Real Madrid are one of the many clubs tracking Zion Suzuki.’

With current Blancos no.1 Thibaut Courtois set to turn 35 before the season is out, Suzuki, it is understood, has been identified as a possible long-term replacement for the Belgian at the Santiago Bernabéu.
