Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo has this week been joined by another boasting legend status in Spainâs capital, at Al-Nassr.
The individual in question? Fernando Hierro.
Recent weeks had seen it widely reported that the brass at Al-Nassr had set their sights firmly on Spaniard Hierro as a leading target behind the scenes.
The one-time central defender, after stints on both the pitch and the touchline, has spent recent years testing his talents in the boardroom.
Since 2022, Hierro has acted as sporting director for Mexican giants Guadalajara.
And a similar role is now awaiting the 56-year-old in the Middle East.
As per an official statement across the website and social media platforms of the aforementioned Al-Nassr, Hierro has agreed to take up the reins as sporting director in Riyadh with immediate effect.
The former Real Madrid captain will join Blancos hero Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as fellow countryman Aymeric Laporte, at the club.
