Barcelona president Joan Laporta has on Tuesday reignited the war of words with arch rivals Real Madrid.
This comes with the Spanish patron having made use of the opportunity to take firm aim at Real, over matters on and off the pitch alike.
Laporta, for his part, is fresh off holding an in-depth interview.
After sitting down for the latest edition of ‘The President’s Podcast’ on Barça One, the 61-year-old opened up on a whole host of topics, from the change on the bench at the club, to summer transfer plans and more.
As alluded to above, though, it is comments regarding Real Madrid which have since piqued the most widespread attentions online…
Los Blancos, of course, are in the midst of a historic week, which has seen them clinch both fresh glory in the Champions League, and the signing of Kylian Mbappé.
But Laporta, it would appear, is not ready to give credit where he evidently feels it is not due.
In quotes gathered by El Chiringuito TV this evening, Barcelona’s president made crystal clear his feelings that his side’s biggest rivals were the beneficiaries of some altogether questionable officiating once more this season:
“Real Madrid? To win, not everything is worth it… They have played very dirty. Referee decisions always fall in their favour.”
