Espanyol have this morning announced the signing of Uruguayan defender Leandro Cabrera from Getafe. The Catalan club triggered the player’s €9m release clause with the 28-year-old putting pen to paper on a deal until June 2024.
Cabrera becomes Espanyol’s second signing of the January transfer window after Raul de Tomas, who joined from Benfica for €20m.
