Official | Borja Mayoral completes move from Real Madrid to Getafe

As communicated on their official website, Getafe have signed Borja Mayoral from Real Madrid permanently.

In late July it was reported that the Spanish striker didn’t want to make a decision over his future until the completion of Los Blancos’ tour of the United States as he wanted to see whether he was part of Carlo Ancelotti’s future plans.

However, the Italian coach did not count on Mayoral for the upcoming season and parting ways seemed to be the best option for both parties.

Even though the 25-year-old had offers from other clubs, he expressed his desire to remain in Madrid.

Getafe agreed a fee of €10 million with Real Madrid for the transfer and Mayoral signed a five-year contract with the club.

Los Azulones will not be an unfamiliar team for the Spaniard as he spent the past year on loan at the side based in southern Madrid.

According to reports, Real Madrid are also considering to offload Mariano Díaz this transfer window.
