Official: Barcelona & Real Madrid stars handed international call-ups

Leading members of the attacking ranks at Spanish football’s two leading clubs have this week been afforded international call-ups courtesy of Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

This comes ahead of an upcoming round of friendly fixtures against Japan and Singapore next month.

From Real Madrid, Ancelotti has called upon two players to have plied their trade under his watch at Valdebebas, in the form of Endrick and the currently suspended Vinícius Jr.

His selection from Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad, though, is likely to cause considerably more fuss…

Fresh off his return from several weeks on the sidelines owing to an injury suffered whilst on international duty with Brazil, Raphinha has again been called upon by Ancelotti.

It now remains to be seen if the former Leeds United man is given the green light to link up with his fellow countryman by those in the medical room in Catalunya’s capital.
