Real Madrid star Yan Diomandé has this week seen his recent excellence in the colours of Los Blancos aptly recognised by La Liga.
This comes amid confirmation of the Ivorian being named amongst the nominees for the Spanish top-flight’s U23 Player of the Month for October.
Wide-man Diomandé has of course spent recent weeks proving precisely why those in a position of power at Real Madrid worked so hard to bring him to the Santiago Bernabéu over the summer.
Amid the absence of Vinícius Jr, the 19-year-old has stepped up to the plate in hugely impressive fashion, adding finished product to his explosive dribbling and stellar link-up play.
All told, across three La Liga appearances this month, Diomandé racked up three direct goal contributions.
And as alluded to above, such exploits have proven enough to secure for the former RB Leipzig standout a place on the shortlist for the division’s U23 Player of the Month prize, alongside all of Alex Freeman, Adrián Niño, Jon Martín and Roy Revivo.
