In an interview with AFP, Nabil Fekir discussed life at La Liga club Real Betis.
How would you feel about hearing the Champions League anthem for the first time since leaving Lyon?
“It would be incredible. It really would. It’s a prestigious competition, everyone wants to play in it. The people at the club had told me that it was one of their objectives. We have a very good team.”
On fine form at Betis
“It wasn’t difficult to adapt here. I give everything on the pitch, I’m like that. I’m someone who goes forward. And here, that’s what they ask for. I play, I enjoy myself, and we are lucky to have good results. It’s my best season here, everything is going well. Everyone gives me confidence, and I’m not going to deny it, that helps a lot.
On reaching his full potential
“I’m not far from that level, but I’m lacking goals. I know I can still improve statistically.“
