Michu: “Erling Haaland will probably end up playing in La Liga.”

Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick in the Manchester derby for Manchester City on Sunday. Former Swansea striker Michu knows Haaland and has spoken to El Larguero about the City forward. The former Oviedo player, now sporting director at Burgos, even joked about Haaland signing for Burgos.

“I met him in Germany, I gave him a Burgos shirt and he gave me a Borussia Dortmund shirt. I am happy for him because of the impact he is having in the Premier League. He’s going to be a star, if he’s not already. Himself and Mbappé are going to do what Messi and Cristiano did,” the former player said.

“He is going to mark an era in world football. He can be at the top for 13-15 seasons. He will score more than 300 goals, which is a huge amount. Haaland likes Spain. He spends his summers in our country. He will probably end up playing in La Liga. And that’s great for us too.

“Haaland to Burgos? The good thing is that because of his age, as he is a footballer from 2000 and is U-23, we could put him in the reserve team and not exceed the maximum wage with his salary!,” Michu joked.
