Speaking in an interview with ESPN, Barcelona forward Memphis Depay admitted he wants to stay at the club despite speculation about his future.
“I came here wanting to play for the team. I want to be important for the team next year and for several more years.
“It’s normal that I have a lot of competition at Barca. I play for the best club in the world.”
Depay joined Barcelona on a two-year deal as a free agent last June after his contract at Lyon expired.
