Atlético Madrid are interested in signing Marcus Thuram, report Mundo Deportivo.
The son for France legend Lilian Thuram, the 25-year-old currently plays for Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga. With his contract expiring in June 2023 with the German outfit, Los Colchoneros are considering to make a move for the Frenchman so that he can arrive as a free agent next summer.
Thuram has no intention to renew his contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach as he seeks new challenges and he will be able to sign pre-contractual agreements with other clubs from January onwards.
The French forward has scored 13 goals in 18 games so far this season and has caught the eyes of top clubs around Europe. His great form earned him a call-up to the France national team World Cup squad by Didier Deschamps.
Thuram came on as a substitute in the final moments of France’s opener against Australia.
