Man City dealt another injury blow ahead of upcoming Real Madrid tie

Premier League giants Manchester City have on Sunday been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.

Pep Guardiola’s troops are currently locked in action, in a crunch top of the table showdown with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Inside the opening half hour, however, City’s boss was forced into an altogether unwanted substitution.

After pulling up with what appeared to be a muscular problem, Nathan Aké took a seat on The Etihad pitch, before soon limping off down the tunnel.

The Dutchman was replaced by youngster Rico Lewis, amid what is quickly becoming something of an injury crisis at the back for the the Citizens.

In taking to the pitch against Arsenal on Sunday, the evening’s hosts were already unable to call upon any of Ederson, John Stones, or Kyle Walker.

Just nine days out from the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final showdown with La Liga leaders Real Madrid, Manchester City’s personnel problems simply continue to pile up…
