Mallorca’s Luka Romero could become the youngest debutant in the history of La Liga at 15

Luka Romero could become the youngest ever La Liga debutant if he makes an appearance for Mallorca against Villarreal on Tuesday night, according to Cadena COPE.

The 15-year-old has been compared to Lionel Messi for his style of play. In the 1939-40 season, Celta Vigo player Sanson made his Primera debut at the age of 15 years and 255 days old. Romero is 15 years and 221 days old.

Romero signed for the islanders in 2015 at the age of 10 and has been training with the first-team squad since La Liga returned to action.
