Luis Rubiales puts penthouse he paid for with “help” from RFEF up for sale

Former president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Luis Rubiales has put his luxury penthouse on Calle Ferraz in Madrid up for sale at a price of €2,550,000 on real estate sites Idealista and Yaencontre, report El Confidencial.

The former head of the Spanish FA acquired the property in May 2021 and until now he had covered the cost with the help of €3,000 per month from the Spanish Football Federation.

The luxury property located just a few metres from the Temple of Debod in Madrid has a surface area of 200 square metres, according to a land registry report. The penthouse also has a large terrace of 100 square metres with a swimming pool.

Stepped down as president of Spanish FA

Rubiales told his entourage two weeks ago of his decision to leave the property in the Spanish capital as soon as possible. Before being suspended by FIFA, he was receiving two salaries, that of the Federation (approx €675,750 per year) and UEFA (€250,000 per year).

The 46-year-old stepped down from his role as Spanish FA president on Sunday.
