Luis de la Fuente announces Spain squad for upcoming internationals against Cyprus and Georgia

As reported by Marca, Spain manager Luis de la Fuente has announced his squad list for the upcoming European Championship qualifying matches against Cyprus and Georgia which will take place on the 16th and 19th of November respectively.

There are a few surprise absences and call-ups. Isco, despite his great form at Real Betis this season has missed out, along with Aymeric Laporte, who has been replaced by Aston Villa’s Pau Torres.

Barcelona’s young talent Alejandro Balde has also missed out, as Alejandro Grimaldo, who has been in impressive form with Bayer Leverkusen, takes his spot. Aleix García and Rodrigo Riquelme have also been called up, along with Álex Remiro, who replaces the injured Kepa Arrizabalaga, while Barcelona midfielder Fermín López was not called up despite impressing this season.
