Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has this week sent a fresh public message the way of Atlético Madrid frontman Julián Alvarez.
The message in question? Come join me at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Striker Alvarez has of course been hotly tipped to link up with Barcelona throughout the summer to date. Earmarked as the ideal replacement for Robert Lewandowski, the Argentine is the subject of an ongoing transfer assault courtesy of Deco and co.
Atlético, for their part, have remained adamant that their star goalscorer will be going nowhere over the months ahead. But their La Liga rivals do not appear to have been deterred.
And as alluded to above, one member of Hansi Flick’s squad who is more than excited at the prospect of linking up with Alvarez next season is Lamine Yamal.
Drawn on the potential arrival of the 26-year-old in Catalunya’s capital this summer during an interview with Mundo Deportivo, youngster Lamine reiterated again that he would jump at the chance to share the pitch with Alvarez:
“We wait for him at Barça with open arms. Julián for sure is that kind of player everyone wants to play with… he’s absolutely perfect for Barça’s style.
“He’s a top player, we all know that. I hope he joins”
