Real Madrid have this week been left to rue the endeavours of city rivals Atlético on the transfer front. This comes amid confirmation of Los Blancos losing one of the jewels of their academy setup.
The player to have opted for a new future away from La Fábrica? Álvaro Vega.
Vega, for his part, is a 16-year-old attacker, who chiefly operates out wide. The Spanish starlet – already a regular for his country at youth level – spent the last two seasons plying his trade with Real Madrid Cadete A and Cadete B.
Across this time, Vega secured for himself a reputation as a potential star in the making, hailed for his abilities in the final third.
Safe to say, then, that all of a Blancos persuasion will be disappointed to learn of the winger making a major call on his immediate future.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘Atlético de Madrid has signed one of Real Madrid’s most promising young players to bolster their Juvenil A (U19) attack. The player is Álvaro Vega.’
The starlet has penned terms with Atléti through the summer of 2029.
