La Liga clubs queue up as Barcelona ready to sanction midfielder’s sale

An insight into the plans of the brass at La Liga giants Barcelona for on-loan youngster Pablo Torre has on Sunday been forthcoming.

The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and points towards the midfielder’s future lying away from Catalunya’s capital.

Torre, for his part, has spent the season to date on loan with Barcelona’s La Liga rivals, Girona.

Though far from first-choice in Míchel’s engine room ranks, the 21-year-old has nevertheless played his part in Girona’s historic campaign, by way of 24 league appearances.

His exploits en route to as much, however, have not proven sufficient to convince Xavi and his coaching staff back at Barcelona of Torre’s readiness to contribute next season.

As per the aforementioned Sport, the plan, as a result, is to seek out a transfer in the summer.

The ideal scenario would come in the form of a sale featuring a buyback option, but Deco and the Blaugrana hierarchy have not ruled out an outright sale, either.

And Torre looks unlikely to be short on suitors, amid alleged interest on the part of all of Real Betis, Real Sociedad, Mallorca, Valencia and Villarreal.

Girona, too, would be interested in bringing the talented youngster back to the Estadi Montilivi.
