In quotes picked up by Sport, Kylian Mbappé’s father, Wilfred, spoke about his son not being able to join Real Madrid after Barcelona.
According to Sport, Wilfred Mbappé received a proposal from Barcelona for Mbappé to join the club in 2017. Mbappé senior’s response was:
“I’m a Barcelona fan, but my son [Kylian] is a Real Madrid fan. If he joins Barça now, he would never be able to go to Madrid. If you join another club, you can always end up going to Madrid.”
The young forward was not interested in hearing about Barca’s offer as he wanted to keep the Real Madrid option open.
