Kubo: “I have always said that my goal was to play for Real Madrid.”

Speaking in an exclusive interview with France Football, Real Madrid wonderkid Takefusa Kubo discussed several topics after his loan spell at RCD Mallorca came to an end.

On his time at RCD Mallorca

Mallorca has made me grow as a player and also as a person. I leave some very good friends there with whom I have shared good and bad moments. I have always noticed the affection of the people on the island. It has been an unforgettable season in many ways.

On playing in La Liga

I’m really enjoying playing in La Liga. I am very happy to be able to play here. It’s the best league in the world and I enjoy every game here. It shows, right?

On his ambitions at Real Madrid

My dream has always been to be one of the best players and I won’t stop working to achieve it. I have always said that my goal was to play for Real Madrid. That’s why I work hard and give my best, even without knowing what will happen.

On his strengths and his game

I like to receive the ball between the lines or in the middle, where there are more players, then face them and try to be decisive. My dribbling technique is everything I have learned playing football so far. I have many years ahead and have a lot of room to improve myself. When I was little, I played a lot of football, from eight in the morning until night. I didn’t get tired. It’s my passion and football has been a big part of my life since I was a child. I play football with the sole intention of improving but on the pitch, I am never shy. A player must express himself on the pitch.
