AS report that Kieran Trippier is set to join Newcastle United in the next 24 hours.
The English right-back will leave Atlético Madrid after two and a half seasons at the club for family reasons. His wife and two children are in England and the player wants to be close to his family.
Trippier didn’t train this morning with the rest of his team-mates and is waiting for the final agreement between the two clubs to travel to England. Both clubs are in the process of finalising the deal.
Trippier has played 86 games for Atlético, providing 11 assists along the way. The deal is expected to be worth just under €15 million.
