Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has taken to social media, to send a personal message of support the way of teammate and friend Vinícius Jr.
This of course comes after another evening to forget for the latter on Saturday.
Introduced off the bench during Real Madrid’s La Liga meeting with Villarreal, Vinícius appeared to have put the game to bed upon slotting home the hosts’ 2nd of the clash from close range.
A subsequent VAR check, however, saw the goal disallowed. Not only that, but the Brazilian was shown a straight red card, for intentionally pulling the hair of Villarreal’s Nathan Saliba.
Vinícius, in turn, has since been singled out for widespread criticism and condemnation, amid what has been a hugely challenging opening to the campaign from an individual standpoint.
Post-match, the aforementioned Jude Bellingham therefore took to social media, to throw his backing behind his under-fire teammate.
In a post on his personal Instagram account, midfielder Bellingham wrote:
‘Always by your side’
