Former Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane’s recent comments regarding the talents of Blancos star Jude Bellingham have been picked up on by the Englishman himself this evening.
Zidane, who of course excelled as both a player and manager at Real Madrid, was on Tuesday asked for his take on the remarkable debut campaign being enjoyed by Bellingham in Spain’s capital.
And the Frenchman made use of the opportunity to lavish praise on the 20-year-old.
“I’m a big fan of Jude Bellingham,” Zidane began, during an interview with AS. “He’s an incredible player, he’s doing incredible things. Now we want him to win trophies with Real Madrid, this is what I wish him.”
And, as alluded to above, it has not taken at all long for Zizou’s comments to be stumbled upon by Bellingham himself.
The former Borussia Dortmund starlet has of course been afforded some extra time off this week, after picking up an ankle injury en route to Real’s La Liga downing of Girona at the weekend.
In turn, upon learning of Zidane’s comments, Bellingham took to social media, to leave a ‘like’ on a post highlighting the former midfielder’s praise:
