Speaking on Onda Cero, former Real Madrid sporting director Jorge Valdano said he believes that PSG star Kylian Mbappé is not close to joining Los Blancos.
“After this [Barcelona game], Mbappé is further from Real Madrid than ever before. He can ask for a €30 million salary, the same as Neymar, and only PSG can offer that amount.”
Another factor in Mbappé’s favour, Valdano says, was that Lionel Messi might now hold less appeal when his Barcelona deal expires in June.
“I don’t see PSG very interested right now in swapping Mbappé for Messi,” he said. “Mbappé changed the scale of values.”
