Jordi Cruyff: “Sergio Busquets has earned every right to decide his future.”

Jordi Cruyff gave an interview to Catalan television channel TV3, which also appeared on Marca.

The Barcelona sporting director discussed the club’s plans for the upcoming January transfer window:

“It is clear that there are some positions that we can reinforce. If there is an option to sign, we know what we have to do.”

Cruyff also revealed what the Blaugrana’s plans are with Memphis Depay:

“We will see what happens. In the summer he could have left, but in the end he couldn’t leave. With Lewandowski suspended for three games, we will see what happens because if there is an injury he could be needed.”

He was also asked about the future of Sergio Busquets, whose contract is expiring at the end of the season:

“When the World Cup is over we will talk to him. He has earned every right to decide his future, but the club also needs to plan its squad.”
