Predicted Mexico XI vs Saudi Arabia

Mexico play Saudi Arabia in the final round of the World Cup group stages.

Since the 1994 World Cup, Mexico have been under the ‘quinto partido’ (fifth game) curse, which has prevented them from progressing to the quarter finals of the competition in their last seven successive attempts. However, first they must win this game if they want to stand any chance of making it to the knock out rounds of the World Cup.

Having not scored a single goal in the competition, Tata Martino is expected to change his formation from the more defensive 5-3-2 configuration he has been using to a more attacking-minded 4-3-3 lineup.

Predicted Mexico lineup against Saudi Arabia

AS predict that Martino will field the following starting XI against Saudi Arabia: Guillermo Ochoa – Jorge Sánchez, Héctor Moreno, César Montes, Jesús Gallardo – Héctor Herrera, Edson Álvarez, Luis Chávez – Hirving Lozano, Henry Martín, Alexis Vega.

The match is set to kick-off at 8 pm CET.
