João Félix recovery timeline revealed as Barcelona confirm injury

An insight into the extent of the spell on the sidelines likely to be facing Barcelona star João Félix has been forthcoming this afternoon.

This comes fresh off the Blaugrana confirming that their on-loan frontman has picked up an injury.

In a post across the club’s website and social media platforms a short time ago, Barca announced that:

‘In training on Tuesday morning the first team player João Félix sprained a ligament in his right ankle. He is unavailable for selection and his recovery will dictate his return.’

So, just how long is Félix set to be unavailable for selection to boss Xavi and his coaching staff?

As per a report from Toni Juanmartí of Diario Sport, the Portuguese is in line for a spell of around four weeks on the treatment table.

As a result, he is highly unlikely to be fit for the first-leg of Barcelona’s Champions League Last-16 tie with Serie A champions Napoli.
