João Félix hits back at critics after sensational goal for Barcelona

João Félix came off the bench to complete Barcelona’s 4-2 comeback against Real Betis by scoring a wonderful goal. Xavi’s side were heading towards a draw, but a hat-trick from Ferran Torres and a goal from Félix turned the game around.

After a dismal display in the 4-2 humiliation against Girona, the Portuguese international has been in and out of the team. The forward has been heavily criticised for his work ethic with many questioning whether Barca should spend the money to turn his loan into a permanent deal.

However, the 24-year-old is the club’s third top goalscorer in all competitions this season. The player on loan from Atlético Madrid, has seven goals and three assists to his name in 22 appearances.

As reported by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Félix is determined to give his best for the Catalan club and is ignoring those who speculate about his future and criticise his performances.

He said: “I’m used to seeing people speaking about me when I play or I don’t play. Someone’s always speaking about me, but I don’t care. I trust myself when I play, I try to give my best. The best way is I don’t see stories, don’t listen to anyone and keep going.”
