Jan Oblak may not be fit to face Celta Vigo this evening, as reported by Marca.
Atlético Madrid host Celta Vigo at the Estadio Metropolitano with kick-off scheduled at 9pm local time.
There is a great deal of uncertainty concerning the fitness of Oblak. Last weekend he picked up an injury between his thigh and groin against Real Sociedad when he collided with Reinildo Mandava.
The Slovenian goalkeeper was able to start Los Colchoneros’ Champions League fixture with a limp on Wednesday. However, it appears as though playing in the match has aggravated the injury and he did not participate in the team’s final training session before their game against Os Celestes.
If Oblak is not fit to start, Diego Simeone may call upon the services of Croatian goalkeeper Ivo Grbić, who has already made an appearance in La Liga this season.
José Maria Giménez, Stefan Savić and Sergio Reguilón also didn’t participate in the final training session as they continue to recover from injuries.
