Free agent attacker Jadon Sancho has this week been linked with what would be an altogether surprising move to Spain, with Getafe.
The brass at the Estadio Coliseum are for their part fresh off tying up a deal for one high-profile free agent, in the form of Dani Carvajal. The veteran defender has penned terms with Getafe through the close of the campaign.
And if the latest word stemming from the media on Wednesday is anything to go by, then the Azulones do not appear done there…
As per a report from Diario Sport, citing DAZN:
‘The club’s next target is in England: Jadon Sancho. The Madrid club has shown interest in the former Borussia Dortmund, Aston Villa, Manchester United, and Chelsea player to bolster their attack.’
It is added that the operation is considered unlikely to ultimately come to fruition, owing chiefly to Sancho’s considerable salary demands. But the Getafe hierarchy nevertheless remain hard at work to clear space on their books, to open up the possibility.
