Iván Fresneda likely to stay at Real Valladolid as Borussia Dortmund to make final push

Iván Fresneda is unlikely to leave Real Valladolid despite Borussia Dortmund preparing a final offer to sign the youngster in January, reports Fabrizio Romano.

The 18-year-old is being courted by some of Europe’s best teams, including Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund. However, none of the clubs have been able to meet Real Valladolid’s demands as of yet.

It is believed that Borussia Dortmund will try to use the next 24 hours to convince the Spanish side to arrive at an agreement to sell them Fresneda before the transfer window closes.

According to Romano, the Bundesliga outfit want to sign the right-back this January, but loan him back to Real Valladolid until the end of the season. The two parties are set to continue negotiations until deadline day.

Real Valladolid are not desperate to part ways with Fresneda this month. The Spaniard’s contract is valid with Las Blanquivioletas until June 2025 and they may be able to ask for a higher fee come the summer transfer window.
