‘It’s time for it to end’ – Dortmund boss Terzić fires warning message to Real Madrid

Comments on the part of Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzić are no doubt set to turn heads in Spain this week.

As much comes after the tactician fired a warning shot to upcoming opponents Real Madrid.

Dortmund, and Real, are of course set to lock horns in the finale of the Champions League this coming Saturday, at Wembley Stadium.

The latter, for obvious reasons, will head into proceedings as overwhelming favourites to emerge triumphant, owing to both their ongoing dominance on the continent, and Dortmund’s long-standing inconsistencies.

Speaking to the media in his latest press conference, it therefore came as little surprise when the enormity of the task awaiting his side at the weekend was put to the aforementioned Edin Terzić.

The 41-year-old’s response, though, proved a defiant one.

Whilst acknowledging that the ‘final boss’ of European football lie in wait in London, Terzić was adamant that BVB have everything required to bring Real Madrid’s long-standing showpiece win streak to a definitive end:

“The absolute final boss is waiting,” Dortmund’s headmaster began, as cited by Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger. “We’re breaking everything down to this one game. In one game, anything is possible. If anyone has shown that, it’s us. It’s time for this series (of Real Madrid), eight games, eight wins in finals, to end.”
