David Beckham meets Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric with view to MLS move

Former Real Madrid player Pedja Mijatovic has revealed on Cadena SER’s Carrusel Deportivo that Luka Modric’s future as a Real Madrid player could be more in doubt than it appears.

AS report that the Croatian has several suitors and one of them is MLS club Inter Miami, and that Modric has listened to their proposal. During the recent international break, Modric and David Beckham, co-owner of the American club, met and had lunch, according to Mijatovic.

“He has received offers from the United States, from many teams and from this one in particular. He already had one from Saudi Arabia but he wanted to stay at Madrid,” Mijatovic explained.

Lionel Messi is also reportedly interested in the possibility of Modric joining the club. The report adds that the veteran midfielder has already made it clear that he has noticed a change in his role at Real Madrid and that he does not agree with having less game time.
