Speaking to Radio Marca, former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas is hoping his former side Real Madrid are handed a favour by relegation-threatened Real Valladolid this weekend, adding that Zinedine Zidane doesn’t deserve any criticism if Madrid fail to win the LaLiga title.
“I would have preferred Real Madrid to be in first place, but I hope that Valladolid can help us win this weekend. I wish everyone the best of luck, but let’s see if we can win LaLiga.
“Zidane can’t be criticised for anything. What he has achieved is incredible, and is only in the reach of very few or even a single person.“
Valladolid take on league leaders Atlético Madrid on Saturday, who currently sit two points clear of Real Madrid with one game remaining in the 2020/21 LaLiga season.
