“I would love for the story to end beautifully”- PSG manager Luis Enrique on the future of Real Madrid bound Kylian Mbappé

An update on the future of Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé, who is expected to join Real Madrid in the summer, has been provided today after recent reports suggested that there was a breakdown in the relationship between the player and manager Luis Enrique.

As the of one of the longest transfer sagas draws closer to completion, Mbappé is itching closer to his dream move to Los Blancos with an announcement expected in the next few weeks. The Frenchman informed PSG of his desire to make the switch from Paris to Madrid earlier this year.

The France captain also informed the club that he would reject any new contract proposals that the club throw his way in an attempt to convince him to stay. A few seasons ago, Mbappé decided against moving to the Spanish capital and instead signed a new lucrative deal at PSG, but this is very unlikely to happen again.

On Sunday, Enrique took the electric forward off with a significant portion of their encounter with Marseille remaining. Mbappé was visibly frustrated with this decision as he made his way off the pitch.

Despite recent reports suggesting that there was a fallout between the pair, Enrique has expressed his desire for a positive conclusion to Mbappé’s time at the club.

He said: “I would love for the story to end beautifully for PSG and for Mbappé, for everyone. We are all in the same boat.”
