Real Madrid starlet Arda Güler secured for himself an altogether noteworthy piece of history, late last night.
As much, of course, comes after Güler and his Real teammates secured fresh glory on the continent.
Carlo Ancelotti’s troops took to the pitch for the final time this season on Saturday, in a Champions League showpiece clash with Borussia Dortmund.
When all was said and done, despite being dominated over lengthy stretches, Los Blancos emerged on the right side of a 2-0 result.
Güler, for his part, was forced to make do with a spot on the bench at Wembley, his stellar recent form on the domestic front not quite enough to carve out a place for himself on the pitch.
This, however, did not stop the 19-year-old from making history…
As revealed in the aftermath of Real’s downing of Dortmund, Güler has established himself as the first-ever Turkish player to march all the way to glory in the Champions League.
