Héctor Bellerín deemed fit to play against Villarreal

Barcelona host Villarreal at the Nou Camp on Thursday in the 10th round of La Liga, with kick-off scheduled at 9pm local time.

As communicated by Mundo Deportivo, Héctor Bellerín has been included in the squad list that is set to face Unai Emery’s side.

The 27-year-old was sidelined with a muscle injury in his left leg for the past three weeks. As Bellerín is the Blaugrana’s only natural right-back, Sergi Roberto and Alejandro Balde had to fill his place in the starting XI during his absence.

Alongside Memphis Depay, defenders Andreas Christensen and Ronald Araújo are still continuing their recoveries from their respective injuries, meaning Xavi is still thin on players in his backline.

Barcelona will be hoping to bounce back from their 3-1 defeat at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in El Clásico against Real Madrid.

They are currently three points behind the European champions in La Liga.
