Adama Traoré: “I will definitely return to Spain in due course.”

Adama Traoré gave an interview to the radio network Cadena SER, which also appeared on AS.

The 26-year-old is currently recovering from a muscle injury:

“I had an injury at the beginning of the season. I came back from another injury, but they are taking care of me and I am starting to play. At the moment I haven’t played 90 minutes in any game because they want me to go progressively, but I’m happy with the three games I’ve played as a starter. Also, last week I helped the team with a penalty and this week with a goal.”

Traoré revealed that he wants to return to Spain at some point in his career:

“Spain is the country I love and where I was born. It’s very clear, but everything in due course. I went back to Barcelona for a few months because it was a decision I made. I had other options but I went back there, I helped and I will surely go back. I don’t know where, but I will definitely return in due course. Right now I’m focused on the season and continuing to grow.”

He would also be open to a call-up from Luis Enrique to the Spanish national team:

“I think it’s every player’s dream, it’s the coach’s decision, and if the coach calls me up, I’ll be at his service. It is the dream of every Spanish player to defend the flag.”
